ALLOWING CHILDREN TO GROW SOCIALLY, EMOTIONALLY, PHYSICALLY, AND INTELLECTUALLY

Our Programs

Where young children begin to make meaningful connections within the classroom and beyond.

Young children come into the world with a breathtaking drive to learn. They are powerful thinkers, creators, and problem-solvers and make meaning through their relationships with the people around them and through their interactions with the environment.

Children are naturally inquisitive about the world around them.

Learning is a continuous progressive evolvement of children through exploration in DFS Classrooms!

FOUNDATIONAL EARLY YEARS – PRE-NURSERY (2/3s)

Pre-Nursery serves as a transition from our youngest to mixed-age classes. Tailored for children aged 2 to 3, it introduces Montessori and academic subjects, fostering longer work periods and focusing on social and emotional skills essential for success in a mixed-age environment. Our approach prioritizes each child’s readiness, progressing them based on individual needs, not just age. As children grow, communication skills advance, with expressions of feelings, opinions, and thoughts through verbal and non-verbal means. Your children will begin to appreciate that art, speech, drama, role play, songs and books are different ways of telling a story. Their understanding of the world will involve exploring their immediate environment and resources. During this stage the children will also get better at social skills and problem solving.
