The DFS Day care Family Center is a nurturing, supportive learning community for families who are looking for a childcare or daycare option that provides something more for you and your child. Under the care and supervision of our highly qualified teachers and child development experts, children are encouraged to make meaning of the world around them by exploring their environment, interacting with their peers, and learning about the diversity within their community.

Our After School Program strives to support families and provide a dynamic range of opportunities for students to pursue creative, intellectual, physical, and social interests. We offer diverse activities that encourage self-expression, discovery, and growth.

Early childhood students use a wide range of facilities of the larger school each day. In DFS Day Care, they are encouraged to explore techniques and expression through painting, drawing and collage. Children work with clay on projects. They learn to organize thoughts into narrative picture telling and then progress to producing representational images from their daily experiences and from the natural world that surrounds them.

In the dance class, students explore rhythm, vocal and movement skills. Through group singing, dancing, improvisation, music and movement games, the children gain confidence, skill and pleasure in self-expression.

Our after school day care is full of fun stuff, Arts & Crafts, Games, Music, Dance and also the space to unwind and relax with their friends or siblings

Our Place provide an atmosphere that is both engaging and nurturing. Once children have had a healthy snacks and meal, they get down to the serious business of play. Students are free to explore a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, play, story times and outdoor play on our deck.

Most of our After School teachers work Monday through Friday during the school day as assistant and/or substitute teachers, which allows them to truly get to know the students, develop accurate ideas about what each child is working on, and strategize about how best to support them as they navigate the afternoon. This also sets our After School teachers up to be seen as consistent and trusted adults in each child’s life.

Day Care Program Offer families the flexibility to arrive and play at their convenience, we offer a range of flexible Drop In time slots so you can attend when it suits you and your child stay for up to 2 hours. A great way to encourage your child to initiate their own play, grow in independence and encourage exploration. Afternoon sessions are available at all of our centers.

We’ll help get your child’s homework under way and of course provide nutritious snacks and refreshments.

We know that modern life can get pretty hectic, and for busy parents, DFS can offer the flexibility to help out when you need extra support. For early morning starts we’ll provide a nutritious breakfast and can drop your child to school. Our after school care is available at selected DFS centres and we also run a fun summer club in the holidays for children up to 12 years.

Parents choose our after school care as they know that their child will be cared for by passionate and enthusiastic staff, their homework will be supervised and they can then enjoy a relaxed and stimulating after school space to play and unwind in. We offer a lot of exciting activities from football and science to yoga and computer games for the older children. Our after school provision is an all year round service, closing only over on Public & Govt. Holidays.
