The admissions department is your doorway into Discover First Step Pre-School & Day Care, and you will find that we work to keep the door wide open during your application process. We want to give you every opportunity to look deeply at the work going on in our classrooms, to meet our team and teachers, and to make sure you hear about our work and play. We offer tours throughout the school year so that you can find a time to see our teaching and learning in process and have a real experience of the energy of our community.
Our Admissions process reflects our core values, offering you ample opportunity to immerse yourself in our classrooms and experience our unique approach to teaching and learning.
We are available for you. Our admissions team gets to know each family during your admissions process. Although you will be asked to schedule tours, fill out your admission and enquiry forms, we will contact you to schedule your school tour, assessments, and interviews. Please know that there are people in office who want to talk to you, answer your questions, and support you through this process. We are always just a phone call or email away.
During parent interviews, a member of the Admissions team will offer personalized feedback about your child’s visit to the school based on our deep knowledge of child development. The school welcomes families who value the important partnership between school and home.
